Notice of Town Offices to Be Elected
The Town of Watab will accept affidavits of candidacy at the office of the Town Clerk beginning Tuesday, December 31, 2008 and continuing until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2009.
Positions that will be open for election are:
1 two-year term for Treasurer1 three-year term for SupervisorIf interested in running for election to either of these offices, please contact Pat Spence, Town Clerk by calling 255-8916 during the application period.
Eligible candidates are those persons who are eligible to vote in the Town of Watab.

Notice of a special town board meeting for August 26, 2008 at 10am at the Watab Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting is for the board to meet with contractors who are interested in a minimum of $50,000 of crack filling on town roads late fall of 2008. The Watab Town Board is seeking quotes for ditch mowing and brush cutting along approximately 40 miles of town roads in Watab.
If you are interested in a two-year contract for this work beginning July 1, 2008, please submit your quote for doing this work to the Clerk by noon on June 28, 2008:

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeal and Equalization for the Town of Watab in Benton County, Minnesota, will meet at the Town Hall at 2:30pm on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of Watab Township for the assessment year 2008.All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment, or who wish to complain that the property of another is assess too low are hereby notified to appear at the meeting and show cause of having such assessment corrected.
No complaint that another person is assessed too low will be acted upon until the person so assessed, or his agent, have been notified of the complaint.

NOTICE FOR PUBLICATION
Residents of the Town of Watab are invited to a public meeting on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 7pm at the Watab Town Hall. The Town Board will discuss the approved Stormwater pollution prevention Program as required by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II rule. The program and progress of the past year will be reviewed. Public input on the program, either in verbal testimony at the meeting or in writing, is welcome and encouraged.
