Minutes of Special Town Board Meeting

The Watab Town Board met for the purpose of  a Pre-Construction Meeting with sub-contractors on the Town Hall building project on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 8am at the Watab Town Hall. Board members present were Clerk Pat Spence, Chair Craig Gondeck, and Supervisor Lloyd Erdmann. Others present were Ron Hommerding, Nancy Scott, Ed Kacures, Doug Boser, Dustin Vaverek, George Mastey, John Brenny, Brad Pederson, Mark Grafft, and Allen Saldana.

 

Ron Hommerding, Architect for the project and Construction Administrator, noted that all bills on the project must be received at his office at RHA by the 28th of each month to be paid by the 15th of the next month. There will be no exceptions. He told the subcontractors that Doug Boser is the Construction Manager and that he will be the Site Manager.

 

Doug Boser introduced Dustin Vaverek and said that he will be coordinating the project. He is still waiting for copies of the contracts from Ron Hommerding. All subcontractors present at the meeting had their contracts signed by the board chair.

 

Doug Boser distributed the construction schedule.  Completion date is scheduled by February 10, 2007 providing the weather cooperates. The foundation should be in this week.  The stormwater permit application has been submitted; we have the plumbing permit, building permit, and land use permit. The board thanks Benton County for their assistance in expediting the land use permit. Exterior concrete work and completion of the parking lot will occur next spring. Everything should be roughed in by Christmas.

 

Doug Boser will get the dumpsters; Doug emphasized the subcontractors must keep the construction site clean and safe. Bi-weekly safety meetings will be held at the job site.

 

Chair Craig Gondeck signed the contracts and thanked all for coming to the meeting. Ron Hommerding will contact all those who were not present.

 

The meeting adjourned at 9am.
