WatabTownship Board of Canvass Minutes
The Watab Township Board met
as the Board of Canvass on
The ballots were recounted for the Ballot Question of whether to adopt the five-member board of supervisors option. The question failed with 76 opposed and 32 in favor; this was the same as reported by the election judges.
The ballots were then recounted for the supervisor position for a three-year term. The election judges reported 73 votes for Lloyd Erdmann. The Board of Canvass found 66 votes for him.
The ballots were recounted for the clerk’s position for a two-year term. The election judges reported 80 votes for Pat Spence. The Board of Canvass also counted 80 votes.
The election judges reported a total of 20 write-in votes; the Board of Canvass found 27 write-in votes.
One person registered to vote on election day; there were 103 voters who signed the polling place roster, and there were 5 accepted absentee ballots for a total of 109 voters.
The Board of Canvass adjourned at on motion by Supervisor Gondeck and second by Supervisor Erdmann.
